Privacy Policy

The short version

You can use every calculator and read every guide on this site without giving us anything. Nothing you type into a calculator leaves your browser.

The only time we collect personal information is when you complete the debt assessment and ask us to connect you with a debt relief program. Even then, nothing is shared until you check the consent box.

Who we are

debthelpu.com is operated by Debt Help U, a DBA of Global Wealth LLC, 2150 Pickwick Dr. #2941, Camarillo, CA 93011. We are not a lender, creditor, debt collector, or law firm. We do not negotiate debt and never hold your money.

What we collect, and when

Calculators and guides: nothing

The calculators run entirely in your browser. Balances, rates, and payments you enter are never transmitted to us and are never stored. Closing the tab discards them.

The debt assessment: nothing until you submit

As you move through the six questions, your answers are held in your browser's session storage so a refresh does not lose your progress. They are not sent to us during this stage. If you leave before submitting, they go nowhere.

When you request a referral

If you complete the assessment and ask us to connect you with a program, we collect:

• Your first and last name, email address, and phone number
• Your assessment answers: debt amount range, debt types, payment status, hardship, state, and monthly capacity
• A record of your consent, described below

When you ask only for your plan by email

We collect your email address and nothing else. No phone number, no consent record, no referral.

The consent record

If you agree to be contacted, we store a record of that agreement. This exists to protect both of us, and it is deliberately detailed:

• The exact wording of the consent as it appeared on your screen
• A version identifier for that wording
• The date and time you agreed
• Your IP address and browser user agent
• The page address where you agreed

We keep the full text rather than a reference to it, because a record of consent is only meaningful if it shows what you actually agreed to on the day.

Who we share information with

If you request a referral, we send your contact details and assessment answers through IntuList, a lead routing service, which delivers them to Mediator Debt Solutions. Mediator Debt Solutions matches qualifying people with licensed third party debt relief providers.

We do not sell your information. We do not place it on a lead exchange or offer it to multiple buyers.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Cookies and analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics. Neither sets cookies, neither fingerprints you, and neither tracks you across other sites. We chose both for that reason, and they run without asking you first because there is no cookie to consent to.

We also use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. Google Analytics sets cookies and is operated by Google, not by us.

It does not load unless you opt in. Until you allow analytics in the consent banner, the Google script is never fetched and no Google cookie is set. If you later turn analytics back off, we stop sending data and delete the cookies it created. You can review or change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.

We do not run any advertising cookies. If that changes, the same rule applies: nothing in that category loads unless you opt in.

We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal. If your browser sends it, we treat that as an opt out of any sharing for advertising, without you having to do anything else.

We use your browser's session storage to hold assessment progress. That is not a cookie, is not readable by anyone else, and is cleared when you close the tab.

Cloudflare Turnstile runs on the assessment form to block automated abuse. It is designed to work without tracking you.

How long we keep things

Consent records are retained for 5 years. Telephone consumer protection claims can be brought years after the fact, and the record is the evidence of what you agreed to.

We do not send marketing email. We collect your email address so our partner can reach you, and we pass it to them. Nothing is mailed from this site.

Your choices

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw consent to be contacted at any time, by replying STOP to a text, by using the unsubscribe link in any email our partner sends, by telling the caller directly, or by writing to us. Withdrawing consent with us does not withdraw it from Mediator Debt Solutions, so tell them as well.

Having your data deleted

Write to us at contact@debthelpu.com with "data removal" in the subject. We handle these within 30 days.

One limit worth stating plainly: we may need to retain a consent record even after deleting other data, because deleting the evidence of an agreement you made could leave both of us worse off if a dispute arises later. We will tell you if that applies.

State privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request a copy, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and a growing number of other states provide rights along these lines.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, write to contact@debthelpu.com. We will not treat you differently for asking.

California residents

Debt Help U, a DBA of Global Wealth LLC is a California company, and California is one of the states our partner serves. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, you may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, our purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to. You may also request correction or deletion, and you may not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

The categories we collect are set out above. In CCPA terms they are:

• Identifiers: name, email address, telephone number, IP address
• Commercial and financial information: your debt amount range, debt types, payment status, and monthly capacity, as you reported them
• Internet activity: the page on which you submitted, and your browser user agent
• Geolocation, coarse: the state you selected

We do not sell your personal information. When you request a referral, we disclose your information to our partner for the business purpose you asked us to perform, which is introducing you to a debt relief program. That is a disclosure for a business purpose, not a sale.

We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we later add advertising tags, that sharing will happen only with your opt-in consent, and the Do not sell or share my personal information link in the footer will turn it off.

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will ask for proof of that authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Previous versions of the consent wording remain permanently available on our consent disclosure page.
